Bariani Olive Oil Soap is made using a cold soap making process. This soap making process was used as far back as the 16th century in Europe. It involves combining water, a vegetable oil and a caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) to make soap. The soap then goes through a four week curing process. During that time, the sodium hydroxide is consumed by the oils*. The result is a simple and mild bar of soap. Ingredients: Saponified Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Distilled Water 4oz bar * There is no residual sodium hydroxide in a cured bar of soap.
